Who We Are

The Liberian American Veterans Association (LAVA) was established in 2009 to unite past and present United States Military Servicemembers of Liberian descent. With over 500 members, LAVA offers mentorship, career development, training, and guidance to promote personal and professional growth. As a non-profit and non-political organization, LAVA is dedicated to undertaking community projects, scholarship programs, and disaster relief initiatives while fostering comradeship among its members through shared military customs and traditions and rich Liberian heritage.

LAVA shall strive to provide opportunities for all United States veterans and active military members of Liberian descent to ascend to their fullest potential.  LAVA shall maximize every effort to gather for the benefit of all members and to foster camaraderie while strengthening our bond, mutual respect, and support of each good standing pleaded member.
